Printed out the tickets-no problem. Humans by turnicets are invaluable for directions to platforms and guidelinrs on time etc. Found the train stations rather confusing. Also different trains go through different stations, so make it clear where you want to get off.
It's a hassle free easy way to travel from the airport to the city. The que at the ticket machine in the airport was huge and I was very happy I didn't have to join it. Highly recommended.
We found the whole experience easy and stress free. The trains were frequent and clean. We were in our hotel in Bayswater in little over an hour after leaving Gatwick. We would certainly use this system again.
Fabulous absolutely no problems but the only issue I have is I'm not sure I was the right train I saw no thameslink train to Victoria and I said it to a employee and he never knew that thameslink went to Victoria he told me to get the southern train which I did I got to my destination so I was quite happy anyway
I have to say that my journey from Gatwick to London was pleasant and comfortable It was easy to make my booking and I had no problems with staff in Gatwick airport who were most helpful in directing me to the right platform for my train to London, thanks.
Easy to get to and comfortable journey
We took the train from Blackfriars to the Airport and avoided the Peak Time we travelled @13.10 during the Pear Hours the train is Packed with people travelling to Briton after a day's work in London ( A time to avoid)
The journey took approx 1hr and it was very comfortable as there were almost no passengers on the train at this time of day plus it is much cheaper than the Gatwick Express
An old saying but a true one. 2 of us arrived early Friday morning with our ready printed tickets. We were directed by the lovely Station Staff to the platform where the Train was waiting to bring us to Victoria. No Hassle No Worries and got a seat easily. The train took all the Strain away and we arrived into Victoria in less than 30 Minutes. No traffic to slow our journey to the City Centre. As Dell Boy would say Luvvly Jubbly.
Returning Monday arrived at Victoria again we were directed by the polite and pleasant railway staff to the Platform where the Express was waiting. got a seat and the Driver informed us of our journey and weather and arrival time. Once again the pun came to mind. I would gladly let all my friends and colleagues know of the hassle free journey and comfort and tell them these wise words I heard sometime ago. " Let the Train take the Strain " I rest my case thank you Richard from Newbridge in Ireland.
